The exhibition focuses on Tan Shu Zhen, the vice director of Shanghai conservatory from 1949 to 1984, through the lens of his childhood, his early life, the Cultural Revolution, and post cultural-revolution. The exhibition aims to recognize the hardship he went through, and how he set stage for future Chinese western-musicians. The exhibition will be hosted on February the 7th, 2024, at the Chinese American Museum DC.
