Awards List
This page shows a list of awards which this summit will distribute to participants who demonstrate profound, substantive, effective interest in the field of East Asian Studies through active engagement with speakers during the conference as well as in individual service or compositional research projects.

Recipients of the awards will be announced 3 business days after the summit, with a certificate mailed to participant email inboxes.
​
​Awardees may then opt to have their names and institution posted on this webpage, starting from a week after the summit.
​
All participants who provide an effective email address will have a participation certificate honoring their attendance of the event.
​Engagement Awards
Individual Insight Award
Provided to the participant who asks a question or makes a comment demonstrating profound understanding of the topic from a thought-provoking, non-conventional angle.
​
​There will be one recipient for each panel.
​Content Expertise Award
​During the panels, moderators would drop open-ended engagement questions in the chat box and the participants providing the most well-informed, well-argued, substantive response will become the recipient of the Content Expertise Award.
Critical Thinking Award
When the panel moderators or other participants make dubious or unsubstantiated claims, the recipients of this award would point it out for the benefit of everybody. Utilize the chatbox function to submit questions or doubts about others' claims.
There is no upper limit to the number of recipients for this award.
​Compositional Research Award
Provided to participants in the summit who have also submitted an entry (proposal or existing research paper/project details) to the "Submit to EAYS Journal" page.
​
​Individual engagement is NOT a factor in adjudicating award qualifications in this category; however, to receive a prize, one must be PRESENT throughout the duration of the event.
